huzzah
back from outer space... as much as i ever am.
mission trip went well. my favorite sister is coming down today. (she flew into my mom's from WA, and is driving down to see me for the weekend). my favorite brother's coming over from DC in a couple weeks.
"new" games i got from my sister include (but are not limited to, since i have a bad memory):
- chez geek
- burn in h311
- a vampire hunter game
- something that starts with a G... like grolder or something. not gryphon/gargoyle, but some mythical creature... and it flies.... meh, whatever it's called.
- a mini-D&D game that's mostly cards (dungeoner's game, or something like that)
- a story telling game
- a different story telling game in french, which i can't read
- a harry poooooter game
i bought an old zelda game to play on the wii.
i spilled the scrabble pieces on the lawn a couple of weeks ago. so i grabbed my mom's scrabble game, and i'll make sure i have at least enough pieces from 1 complete set. they're both probably 25 years old.
i get the joy of cooking for a vegetarian... and i'm a carnivore. (i believe it's immoral to eat those cute little veggies. simply immoral). but i have high hopes... in speghetti and stir-fry... and sandwhiches for lunch... and i don't eat meat for breakfast, so that should be easy.
SSIS packages... i'm sick of this crap. glad i don't have to program it though, SSIS is pretty slick overall.

ramble ramble
work... uuugh.
[thinking "out-loud"]
projects
ODM: waiting for deployment time / waiting for TS to finish writing his front page
MES: waiting for people to do their part, before i can do mine
CP: moved out fantabulous change... took me 2 minutes... now i'm done with it
FG: everything seems to be working... guess i'm done.
TRD: user is a big meany. maybe moving this to EDC. good thing i spent all that time on it
HD: super-secret-not supposed to be working on this... supposed to have matt do it... i did a little bit, so that at least i remember what i did the last time i touched it (3 months ago). also so he will have some idea which direction i want him to go in.
goals - i friggen hate my goals.
ms-access... don't wanna, can't make me. murble-gurble
HD Tickets
don't want to work on ticket... i've left it out for 6 months or so... i should probably do it eventually though

1st post
read this > The Ultimate Code Kata
from Coding Horror by Jeff Atwood. i then decided to start blog. yea yea, i'm boring; get over it.
title of blog reflects one of the names we considered when playing volleyball... i'm c# programmer. married. name's colin... yea. working in IT @ a manufacturing place.
big gamer... board/card games. used to be more into computer games, but i'm poor, so not so much now. fav games: pinochle, spades, citadels, power-grid, bonanza, etc.
much coolness to be had by the me. yoyoyo... (in case you're a moron, that would be a joke)
anyways, back to "Work Work"
